Abstrakt (anglicky)
   The facial development and distribution of benthic faunas greatly depended on synsedimentary deformations, including faulting of the Prague Basin which was probably of rift origin. The extremely rich, diversified benhtic asociations of Pragian age have been assigned to three principal biofacies; the sessile benthos is a dominant component of the Crinoid-Bryozoan-Brachiopod Biofacies confined to skeletal accumulations of the Vinařice and Koněprusy Limestones on a moderately rising zone in the Koněprusy area. The Crinoid-dominated Biofacies, widespread in the deeper-water micritic successions with poorly diversified sessile elements but numerous trilobites. The Bohemian, Pragian-age faunas are closely related to those of the Altai-Sayan and Ural Regions. For this reason, the benthic organisms of Bohemia as well as the closely similar faunas of the Carnic Alpa have been attributed to the westernmost extension of the Uralian Faunistic Province.
   The affinity of the Pragian-age faunas with those of the Ibero-Armorican Trough is somewhat looser because of the presence of several Rhenish-type elements in the latter region. The Pragian sequences have yielded more than 220 brachiopod species of about 150 genera, and 230 trilobite species and subspecies attributed to 73 genera and subgenera. The systematic part is mainly devoted to the Pentameridina, Retzidina, and Athyrididina which have not been revised since appearance of the famous Barrande's monograph in the past century. All brachiopods (including those described in earlier papers) are recorded in lists of species compiled for each biofacies. Vanekaria, Cymostrophiella, Leptostrophiella (Rhytirugea)(Strophomenidina), Iphinerrehynx (Phynchonellidina), Cammerista, Ceresathyris, Iuxtathyris (Althyrididina), Hystricocyrtina and Jehlanaria (Spiriferidina) are proposed as new genera and subgenera, respectively.
   Also all trilobite species and subspecies of Pragian age are recorded in lists of fossils compiled for each biofacies
