Abstrakt (anglicky) | | | The institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics (IRSM) started, in 1992, the investigation of consequences of coal exploitation within the shaft pillar of the mine Mayrau (Kladno coal district) on the origination of induced seismic and deformation phenomena in the overlying rock massif. A part of this research became also the prediction of phenomena occurring at the surface in consequence of undermining. These prognoses were obtained in two ways: by computing and by physical methods. Computer prognoses issued from the actual knowledge of the theory of undermining and the author developed, for their realization, his original software. Physical prognoses were based on the measurement of geometrical deformations of the surface of a physical model constructed from equivalent materials, in which exploitation of the shaft pillar was simulated.
