Abstrakt (anglicky)
Some tabulate corals belonging to a genus identified for the first time in the Barrandian area (Bohemia, Czech Republic) were ollected in 1948-1950 by Jiří Bouška in the vicinity of Holyně. the fossiliferous beds of the Bouska excavation are assigned to the Třebotov Formation which belongs to the Upper Emsian (Upper part of Po. serotinum Zone). this part of stratigraphic sequence consists of background sedimentation lime-mudstone, which alternates with fine-grained tentaculite-bearing and coarse-grained crinoidal calciturbidites. Among the largely silified tabulate corals - many of them still remaining undetermined - three new species have significant palaeogeographic implications, being inconsistent with previous knowledge of Bohemian coral biofacies. These species are kerforneidictyum rex n sp., Pterodictyum holynensis n.sp., and Taouzia vulvaria n.sp.
During the Upper Emsian, these three genera aretypical for the Ibarmaghian Domain of the Gondwana margin (north Sahara, Iberian peninsula and Armorican Massif) or in the Maghrebo-European realm (north Gondwana and Avalonia). Pterodictyum and Taouzia were formerly identified only in the Ibarmaghian Domain; Kerforneidictyum is widely distributed. The oldest occurrence of the latter genus are from the Lower Emsian of the North Gondwana Province, but this genus has also been recorded from the Uppermost Emsian of the Sauerland.
