Abstrakt (česky)
   Marcasite single crystals were ssynthesized directly by a reaction of aqueous solutions containing Fe2+ and Fe3+ with H2S and polysulphides at 200°C. It might be that natural marcasite formed according to some similar recipe, making use of an interaction of H2S and polysulphides with pore fluids containing Fe2+ or Fe3+ e.g. iron sulphates or chlorides. The structure of synthetic marcasite was refined from synchrotron diffraction data by the Rietveld method.
