Abstract (in english)
It is widely accepted to be essential to have some biostratigraphic constraints on the polarity zone pattern resolved from any given section in order to propose an non-ambiguous correlation to the reference Geomagnetic Polarity Time Scale. On the other hand, the main thesis raised by the present poster is as follows: Though having been modified by the sedimentation rate varying in a wide range, the pattern imprinted on a stratigraphic section by several successive reversals of geomagnetic polarity is so specific that it can be very likely identified without any complementary information.
