Abstract (in english)
A mineral phase with composition CdSO4.H2O was found on a burning mine dumps of the coal mine Kateřina at Radvanice near Trutnov (Czech Republic). It forms grayish white to pinkish gray small hemispherical aggregates on rocks in association with greenockite, anglesite and other minerals. The mineral is monoclinic, space group P21/c, unit cell parameters: a=7.6250(8), b=7.4537(6), c=8.1489(9), ß=122.28(1)o, V=391.5(1). The strongest lines in the X-ray powder pattern are 4.877/34(110), 3.578/75(11-2), 3.224/100(200), 2.5292/30(022), 2.3943/36(112) and 2.0648/47(310). The infrared vibrational spectra of this mineral phase are given
