Abstract (in english)
A rich assemblage of well-preserved phyllocarid crustacean remains is described from calcareous shales of the Kopanina Formation (Silurian, Ludlow) exposed near the Všeradice, SE of Beroun. Specimens fall within the intraspecific variability of Ceratiocaris papilio, which is widely distributed in the Llandovery and Wenlock of Laurentia. The Bohemian specimens represent the first occurrence of C. papilio outside of Laurentia and the phyllocarid assemblage from Bohemia is younger than that of Laurentia. Phyllocarids are associated with graptolites and pelagic orthocerids. Other benthic organisms are severely limited. Isolated or articulated furcae and telsons, and isolated mandibles are the most common components of this association. Articulated abdominal segments with caudal appendages also occur. An exceptional specimen has articulated abdominal and partial thoracic segments, with mandibles preserved in situ. Additional possible occurrences of C. papilio group in Bohemia are also discu
