Abstract (in english)
   63 species of fossil plants form the core Kleinsaubernitz 1/70 near Bautzen are described morphologically and anatomically, 7 of them as new (Magnolia maii, Betula kleinsaubernitzensis, Ailanthus prescheri, Ilex knoblochii, Fraxinus kvacekii, Quercus praekubinyii, Quercus praerhenana). The assemblage reflects a Mixed Mesophytic Forest with more than 50 perc evergreen and thermophilous elements. The Fagaceae are richly represented (8 taxa). The combined occurrence of archaic elements, such as Eotrigonobalanus furcinervis ssp. haselbachensis and Majanthermophyllum petiolatum, with coalforming Miocene forms, such as "Illicum" limburgense, Illipophyllum thomsoni and Kadsura senftenbergensis is noteworthy. Beside ancient Arcto-Tertiary elements, such as Acer haselbachense, Acer tricuspidatum and Alnus phocaeensis, are new immigrants from western Sibiria (e.g. Betula kleinsaubernitzensis, Fraxinus kvacekii and Comptonia cf. longirostris).
   Such a floristic mixture justifies the establishment of a new floristic complex Kleinsaubernitz for the time span of the Late Oligocene (Eochattian) in Central Europe
