Abstract (in english)
372 fossil species of plants were described according to carpological remains from the Spremberger sequence and the second browncoal horizon in the Lusatian region of saxony and Brandenburg. Fourt-two plants are new species. In part IV the abundance of the species of plants in the single drilling cores and the outcrops (more than 80) is listed and a mark of biostratigraphic, paleoecological, and paleoclimatological significance is given. The fossil plant communities verify clearly the floral complexes "Bitterfeld-Münzenberg", "Brandis-Bílina", and "Wiesa-Eichelskopf" in the Middle European Tertiary and can be integrated into the Lower Miocene after the comparison with dated floras of the adjoining regions
