   Three successive stratigraphic horizont with vertebrate fauna have been found in the Central Tunisia. Prozeuglodon isis Beadnell belongs to the Late Lutetien. Gomphotherium angustidens (CUV) and Bunolistriodon sp. have been found by the abundance of large and small mammals among which rodents (Muridae I, II and III and Megapedetes sp.) are important
