Abstract (in english)
Wetlands in the Morava River floodplain come into being by cutting of meanders and pools are being created by the scouring activity. Forest pools, which are called 'smuhy' in Haná, are related to alluvial forest and are usually the deepest parts of flood channels. Particularly sediemnts in theese localities have been evaluated from the pollen analytical point of view. According to the vegetation cover development reconstructed in the Litovelské Pomoraví localities we can say that the palaeomeander silting may have occured not sooner than 150 year ago.
