Abstract (in english)
   In the Velké Němčice section, laminae and thin layers of nannofossil chalks were studied in the Silbofice Member (late NP 23, NP 24 Biochrones). In the lower part of the member, horizon with frequent Reticulofenestra lockeri, Coccolithus pelagicus, Helicosphaera recta and Zygrhablithus bijugatus was found; Trahsversopontis pygmaeus is characteristic there. In it? middle part, Reticulofenestra lockeri and Pontosphaera latelliptica are abundant In the upper part, a thin layer with abundant Dictyococcites hesslandii and common cyclicargoliths, Braarudospahaera bigelowii and Dictyococcites bisectus was ascertained. Two thicker layers of nanno-chalk near the top of the member contain abundant cyclicargoliths and are correlatable with the Jaslo and Zagórz Limestones from the Polish Carpathians.
   Three layers of sideritic dolomitized carbonates in the middle part of the section, originated supposedly by dolomitization of nanno-chalk layers, are tentatively correlated with the upper horizons of the Tylawa Limestones.The blooms of calcareous nannofossils are supposed to have occurred at time of two environmental conditions coincidence: 1) renewed communication between semi-isolated Flysch basins and an open sea due to the high sea-level stand, with the salinity rise as a consequence, and 2) high run-off supplying a photic zone with nutrients. The spatial regularity in distribution of the nanno-chalks in the section reflects regular paleoenvi-ronmental changes with suspected orbital forcing
