Abstract (in english)
   The ecostratigraphic distribution of aquatic vertebrates in the interval from the upper Stephanian to lower Autunian is analyzed using the example of the saar-Nahe basin and is compared to that in other basins. Taking into consideration the sedimentary development of the basins and changes in terrestrial vegetation, the following bioevents are recognized and interpeted in ecological vegetation, the following bioevents are recognized and interpreted in ecological terms: the Remigiusberg invasion, the Altenglan faunal diversity contraction, and the Wahnwegen turnover. The last of these events is suitable for defining the boundary between the Stephanian D and Autunian, which is situated well below the Carboniferous-Permian boundary
