Abstract (in english)
The regional heavy mineral prospecting of the Flysch Belt of the West Carpathians was finished in 1994. No heavy mineral concentrate anomalies of cassiterite, scheelite and wolframite, typical of the Bohemian Massif, were found. Barite and pyrite seem to be characteristic ore minerals of the flysch belt sediments. Their origin is most probably epigenetic. Anomalies of cinnabar are boud to the manifestations of the Neogene volcanism. Gold represents probably a component of the clastic material of flysch sediments. The source of gold in heavy mineral concentrate anomalies can also be found in numerous relics of Quaternary glacigenic sediments
