Abstract (in english)
   The research of the West Carpathians lithosphere consist mainly of the application of the deep range geophysical methods. Density models, which satisfy the local isostatic equilibrium show that it is not possible to explain the measured gravity field without taking into account the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary in the Western Carpathians. The gravity field of this unit is characterized by a couple of gravity depressions and elevations, the amplitude of which reach low values and represent the so-called soft or weak collision with the attributes of the low mountains origin. Based on the application of the loading of the brooken clastic plate (plate of tinite dimensions) it was possible to assume that the lithosphere bending of the Nord European platform under the West Carpathians is related to the surface and subsurface loading of its margin southern.
   The prediction of the rheologic forces showed that the tectonic units with different thermo-tectonic development, lithological prediction as well as lithospheric thickness cause the important variation of the studied area lithosphere rheology. The Western Carpathians represented the transient zone separating two absolutely different types of the continental lithosphere. The first type represented the mechanically strong lithosphere of the Nord European platform, Bohemian Massif and East European craton, the second type is on the contrary represented by a mechanically extremely flexible lithosphere of the Panonian basin. Therefore is possible to observe the general decrease of the mechanical strong from north to south in the West Carpathians. Integrated geothermic, gravimetric and isostatic modelling for the lithosphere structure indicate beneath the Central Western Carpathians a lithosphere thickenning (up to 150 km).
   Obligue collision model seems to be appropriate for the deep contact of the plates in this region with retreating subduction boundaries. Based on the result achieved by this study and the seismic topographic method it is suggested that the model of the process of lateral migration and detechment of the subducting plate and reactions between the collidint lithospheric plates on this process could be valid for the Carpathian orogen. The most probable model as a results of the rollback and slab detechment along strike of the Carpathian area
