Abstract (in english)
Diamond and coesite were discovered in north Bohemian granulites. This find implies that this area is an ultra-high pressure terrain, the high-pressure granulites must have formed by deep subduction of continental crust, and explains their association with mantle garnet peridotites. Implications for historical finds of macroscopic diamonds are discussed.
