Abstract (in english)
Early Devonian conodont fauna was studied on flanks of the Koněprusy reef in the Čertovy schody quarries (Barrandian, Czech Republic). Thirty-two samples were taken from the stratigraphic section and produced more than 400 elements and 13 determined conodont species. Ancyrodelloides delta Zone (upper Lochkovian) and Polygnathus serotinus Zone (Dalejan) were well documented, whereas Eognathodus sulcatus sulcatus Zone and Eognathodus sulcatus kindlei Zone were indicated by other than index species. The uppermost Lochkovian Pedavis Zone is not present in the profile, because of the unconformity which seems to indicate the global eustatic sea-level fall recognized worldwide at the boundary of pre-la and la cycles of Johnson and Sandberg (1989). Both the upper part of the Pragian and a substantial part of the Emsian are also missing in this section. The next transgression extended over the documented area as late as during the Polygnatus serotinus Zone (Late Emsian, Dalejan age).
Conodont assemblages of the studied section, Carnic Alps (Austria) as well as in some areas with Early Devonian sediments in Spain (Cadenas Costeras Catalanas - Santa Creu d'Olorda; Guadarrama; Gerri de La Sal - Spanish central Pyrenees) are very similar to each other
