Abstract (in english)
The paper deals with the eolian pheonmena such as horseshoe shaped hills and wind alleys in the Western Desert of Egypt. The sandstone and limestone plateaus and rocky outcrops are polished by eolian abrasion that forms not only a systém of facetes and flutes but tubular hollows as well.
