Abstract (in english)
   Reliability and validity of results of groundwater studies strongly depend on the analysis of large volumes of high-quality data. Putting all data into a coherent and logical structure supported by a computer environment help ensure quality of results and provides a powerful tool for hydrogeological studies and visualization of hydrogeological problems. The implementation of geographic information systems (GIS) and decision support systems (DSS) in hydrogeology offers strong facilities for groundwater and all environmental management, analyzing groundwater vulnerability and protection, hydrogeological modeling, general water management etc. This article describes the implementation of GIS/DSS in hydrogeology, which was developed in AQUATEST a.s. and demonstrates its use as an intelligent tool in groundwater management
