Abstract (in english)
A detailed geomorphological mapping has been done in 1994 in the western part of the Lišovský práh Treshold. The studied region belongs to the central part of the Jihočeské pánve basins, to the geomorphological unit of the Bohemian-Moravian Subprovince of the Bohemian Upland. Both geomorphological units of the South Bohemian - the Českobudějovická pánev Basin and the Třeboňská pánev Basi - are represented there. The studied region is situated at the contact of both units. It is characterized by pronounced manifestations of fault tectonics in surface landforms. The most important results of geomorphological and morphotectonical analysis of the studied region can be summed up into the following points: 1.
Planation surfaces as initial (basis) elements of further relief development are found at different ltitude levels (between 560 and 400 m) indicating not only a different intensity of neotectonic movements, but at some places also a different time of their formation (Lišovský práh Threshold - Pliocene, Českobudějovická pánev Basin - Quaternary). 2. The main morphostructural characters of the relief are represented by fault slopes and slopes of probably tectonic origin in the western and central part of the Lišovský práh Threshold, founded by tectonic movements mainly in the Pliocene and mostly on old dislocations. 3. The main valley in the highest uplifted zone of the Lišovský práh Threshold (in the south) has been mostly founded on faults. Back erosion of some brooks is supposed to capture the present upper segments eastwards from the summit parts of the threshold which were originally directed eastwards to the Třeboňská pánev Basin. 4.
Geomorphological conditions of the brook valleys cutting across the ridge part of the Lišovský práh Threshold and its foothill slopes suggest that this region was not affected by more important tectonic movements in the upper Pleistocene and in the Holocene. 5. The formation and the regular course of the Vltava Pleistocene river terraces manifest in their plenghtwise profile a rel
