Abstract (in english)
   A feasibility study was performed to assess to possibility that groundwater in hard rocks of the Upper Austrian part of the Bohemian Massif can be an essential water supply source at least in some areas. Because of a general lack of information and contradictory statements about the potential yield and local importance of groundwater in hard rocks, the collection of available information, data inventory as well as preliminary analysis and integration of the data was performed. The achieved results may be considered the first important step in assessing and actually proving the feasibility of development of groundwater sources in crystalline areas. The preliminary analysis led to the indentification of areas which seem to have a shirtage in drinking water supply. Methodological concept for detailed analyses has been elaborated. The presented feasibility study is an initial step for further investigations
