Abstract (in english)
   An introductory study to provide hazard evaluation due to slope instability for state officials responsible to decide about rational land use in areas repeatedly threatened by dangerous geodynamical processes was elaborated. A section of Vsetín region most heavily affected by a calamity of slope deformations of July 1997, has been selected as the model area. Inventory and mapping of all alope deformations, which provide signs of either recently active, recently and temporally stabilized, or fossil movements was finished in the northern part of the area. Two map lists 1:10 000 providing local engineering geological stability conditions were prepared. An example of such a map, computer processed, however simplified, can be seen in Fig. 1. A lay-out method for preparation of landslide susceptibility maps was suggested and verified on one map list 1:10 000, divided into three zones and mine subzones with uneven stability conditions.
   Land use conditions for different construction activities were formulated
