Abstract (in english)
   14 sampling sites surrounding an abandoned toxic waste repository in the central Czech Republic were used to monitor the rate of movement of a contaminated groundwater plume. The range and the ways of diffusion of the contamination and the effect of the neutralisation of contaminated waters were studied using different geochemical methods. The long-term monitoring of main metals, cation and anion in underground and surface waters started in 2005. The results of the chemical monitoring showed that the contamination of water and soil is located in close proximity to the site, whereas more remote wells in the nearby village are not contaminated. The movement of the contamination along the fault systems is unlikely.
