Abstract (in english)
A review of the last results of micropaleontology in the Nízký Jeseník Mts. is the main subject of this paper. Our study is dealing with the material from two relativelly narrow tectonic belts which are elongated to the NNE direction. Western of the both belts, known as "Vrbno stratigraphical group of undifferentiated members" was examinated at the drilling area Janovice - Ruda in the vicinity of the town Rýmařov. Eastern belt, known as "Šternberk - Horní Benešov belt" yielded the material from the western margin of the Moravský Beroun area. 205 thin-sections have been studied from the area Janovice - Ruda. They cut mostly the carbonate rocks seeking for calcareous microfossils and/or debris of macrofossils of microsize. The carbonate sediments are reworked by the several stages of the diagenetic and/or low metamorphic recrystallization, finally including often the degradation to the pseudomicrite.
Nevertheless the pigment shadows of the original biotic and sedimentary textures appear to be well traceable. Debris of tabulate corals, algae, crinoid ossicles, foraminifers, bryozoans, tentaculites and other fossils allow to determinate the age between the middle Givetian and the lower Famennian approximatelly. Additionally to it 23 palynological samples have been processed, mostly from slightly metamorphosed graphitic shales of greyish colour. The palynological residuum consisted of highly carbonized trilete miospores, acritarch vesicles preserved only in fragments, rare chitinozoans, melanosclerites, scolecodonts and rests of tracheids. The small sized specimens (3 to 15 micrometres in diameter) tend to be less affected with heat and pressure and therefore prevail in the palynological slides. The poor preservation of organic-walled microfossils does not allow the more precise stratigraphic assignement than middle/upper Devonian.
22 thin-sections of sandy limestone breccia (extraclast limestone) have been examined for fossil determination from the western margin of the Moravský Beroun block. The foraminiferal fauna
