Abstract (in english)
   A digestion procedure used for 210Pb dating of freshwater peat is described. Additions of concentrated HCl and HNO3 are followed by electroplating of 210Po and 208Po on silver discs at 60°C. The digestion was preformed on 3 grams of subsamples from a peat core colected at the Rybárenská slať Bog (southern Czech Republic), each subsample representing a 2 cm thick vertical increment. Alpha spectrometric measurements on one set of 18 silver discs was performed in two different laboratories 3 and 12 months, respectively, after the polonium was plated out. The a activity counting 3 months after the digestion yielded CRS dates as well as peat accumulation history similar to Sphagnum peat bogs which had been studied in the northeastern USA by Wieder et al. (1994). The repeated a activity counting after 12 months yielded erratic values due to advancing oxidation of the surface of the silver discs
