Abstract (in english)
   The Klobuky Horizon yielded 38 plant species to date. Ferns are dominant plant group. Sphenopsids and medullosan pteridosperms are locally common. Only one species of Callistophytales was found. Cordaitalean leaves are common in few places only. Both conifers and lycopsids are very rare. This floral assemblage belongs to the Sphenophyllum angustifolium Zone. Fauna is represented by at least 15 aquatic species. Trace fossils are very rare at Klobuky. Sedimentary facies and processes include progradation of lacustrine near-shore sand bodies over offshore mudstones, swamp/coal sedimentation, deposition of laminated offshore lacustrine mudstones with variable silty and sandy volcanogenic admixture. Fossiliferous, finely laminated muddy limestones are interpreted as lacustrine offshore deposits. The increasing seasonality and protraction of dry periods at the end of the Stephanian is deduced. However, the Klobuky Horizon with a coal seam represents a longer humid period.
