Abstract (in english)
   Magnetostratigraphic data obtained by us from Boreal section (Nordvik peninsula, northern Siberia ) were compared with the analogous materials from tho J/K boundary beds of the Tethyan character Brodno (W. Carpathians, Slovakia), Bosso Valley (Umbria, Central Italy) and Puerto Escano (Pron¨vince of Cordoba, S. Spain). The research showed that the Boreal J/K boundary is much youngerthan the Tethyan, both boundaries lay in different magnetozones. The Boreal and Tethyan Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary strata were successfully correlated for the first time using high resolution magnetostratigraphic investigations including precisely defined two narrow reverse subzones inside magnetozones M20n and M19n.
