Abstract (in english)
The Czech republic in central Europe exhibits in the Barrandian area stratotype and/or internationally important reference sections of the Silurian-Devonian, Lochkovian-Pragian, and Lower-Middle Devonian boundaries. The Pragian-Emsian boundary is problematical in its concept, and the Eifelian-Givetian boundary is correlated with the type areas only with difficulties. Sections in Moravia yield important data on the Frasnian-Famennian and Devonian-Carboniferous boundaries
