Abstract (in english)
Phosphatic nodules of probably Middle Tournaisian from Mokrá (Moravia, Czechoslovakia) yielded a radiolarian fauna dominated by spherical forms. Genera Albaillella, ? Astroentaitinia and Palaeoxyphostylus have been recognized among other so far not determined radiolarians. A free, well-preserved radiolarian fauna has been gained from the phosphatic nodules from the locality Mokrá, E of Brno. The sample MKR-1 has been the only sample, which yielded radiolarians; it consisted of phosphatic nodules embedded in limestone breccias of probably Middle Tournasian age (KALVODA, HLADIL, personal communation). The sample is derived from the southern wall of the uppermost floor of the middle productive quarry (quarry above the crusher), north of the village of Mokrá. Besides the well-preserved radiolarians, the sample MKR-1 yielded only sponge spicules and rare remains of scolecodonts; unfortunately, no accompanying stratigraphically significant microfauna has been found.
The systematic treatment of the radiolarians is the subject of further study
