Abstract (in english)
   Study presents the results of pedological research in 8 stands of dwarf pine vegetation altitudinal zone in the Krkonoše Mts. These stands are of both autochthonnous as well as allochthonnous origin and different age (15-110 years). Studied sites are characterized by the forest type 9Z2, management unit 03 and immission zone A. Altitude ranges between 1350-1390 m a.s.l. Summarization of basic stand and site conditions is given in the Table 1. Standard pedological terrain and laboratory analyses methods were used performing the research works: pH, total carbon and nitrogen contents (Springer-Klee, Kjeldahl), adsorbtion complex characteristics (SHTV) by Kappen, characteristics of exchangeable acidity in the HC1 solution and accessible nutrients content in the 1% citric acid solution. Results are presented in Tables 2-9. They document relatively unfavourable state of soil chemistry, low content of nutrients and in general extreme soil conditions of studied sites.
   Podzolisation was confirmed as deciding pedogenetic process. It may be supposed less intense biochemical weathering, acidification and nutrient (bases) loess in comparison with lower positions (spruce and beech stands) of given region, where these processes are more pronounced. Results indicate also favourable effects of the ground (grass as well as herb) vegetation on the soil state on followed locations
