Abstract (in english)
Geophysical, sedimentological and microbiostratigraphical evidence suggest that the tilting of the entire Givetian-Frasnian platform was a very slow and continuous process. It can hardly correspond to the half-graben and/or forebulge models, in extension and compression fields, respectivelly. It can be likely interpreted as cooling of rifted, side-sliding plate margins and/or side-sliding over an old subduction-related sinking domains in the mantle, for example.
