Abstract (in english)
Some mires, where specific task had to be solved in their sediments, became the objects of palaeobotanical research towards the end of the nineties. The results are presented in these proceedings. The goal of new palaeobotanical research of sediments of the Pančavské rašeliniště (mire) was the attempt to disclose the evidence on the extent of Pinus mugo distribution in this locality and in its surroundings the past periods of the Holocene. With respect to expected difficulties associated with fulfilling such a task, the further goal of the study was to find out of what origin are the "palsa"-like structures present in the area of the oldest mire of the Giant Mts. The sediment of the "palsa"-like structure No 1 was selected for this purpose
