Abstract (in english)
The skarns in the western and central Krušné hory Mts. are of pre-Variscan and Variscan ages. The pre-Variscan skarns in the central Krušné hory Mts. developed in four stages. The variscan skarns were influenced by the Krušné hory batholith and differ in their relationship to the main intrusion complexes (OIC and YIC granites). OIC granites were responsible for the genesis of skarn horizons with silicates and rare magnetite. YIC granites brought about only a local skarnization of silicate rocks. The large deposit at Kovářská has been described as a type of a pre-Variscan skarn deposit and it is characterized by association of magnetite with pyroxene, garnet, amphibole, epidote, chlorite, pyrite and some other minerals
